Unions and Gov't Agree to Shelve Public Sector Wage Act for Six Months

Ljubljana, 7 November - Negotiating teams of the government and public sector unions have reached agreement on a six-month postponement of the implementation of the public sector wage act. Instead of 1 January, the act will now be implemented on 1 July of next year. The government will debate changes to the act, which would incorporate the delayed implementation, upcoming Thursday, filing it for emergency parliamentary procedure.
