Slovenians Raise Glasses for St. Martin's Day
Ljubljana, 8 November - In a land dotted, like Slovenia, with vineyards, St. Martin's is more than just a folk festival. It is a nation-wide drinking festivity celebrating the final passage of must to wine. Although grape picking finished early this year due to the hot and dry summer, the holiday will be celebrated, as traditionally, the weekend closest to 11 November.
