Ljubljana, 9 November - In a vibrant week for Slovenian business and economy, the prime minister's strategic economic council called for a prompt entry into the waiting room for the euro, the Exchange Rate Mechanism 2 (ERM 2), the European Commission issued a favourable report on the country's progress in implementing EU membership commitments, while officials of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) met in Slovenia for what has been dubbed the "swan song summit", the last summit before five CEFTA members leave the partnership for the EU.
