Schedule of Events for Tuesday, 11 November

Ljubljana, 10 November - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 11 November:

BRUSSELS, Belgium - The European Commission is to release a shortlist of priority transport projects for the next few years. Slovenia has been making efforts to be included on the list with the Trieste-Koper-Ljubljana-Budapest rail line, which is listed among 29 transport projects that the EU is to focus on in the near future. LJUBLJANA - The social partners are to meet at 3:00 PM in the framework of the economic and social council to discuss plans for Slovenia's adoption of the euro. Prime Minister Anton Rop and central bank governor Mitja Gaspari are to present the proposal for prompt ERM 2 and euro-zone membership. (STA)

VIENNA, Austria - Defence Minister Anton Grizold is to wrap a two-day official visit to Austria. Grizold and Austrian counterpart Guenther Platter are to hold a press conference at the conclusion of the visit. (STA)

BRDO PRI KRANJU/LJUBLJANA/BLED - Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych is to continue his three-day official visit to Slovenia. He will first meet with Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel at Brdo pri Kranju. Talks with Ljubljana Deputy Major Slavko Slak are to follow. (STA)

VADUZ, Luxembourg - Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein are to sign the agreement on the enlargement of the European Economic Area (EEA) with ten future EU member states, among them Slovenia, as the last countries to do so. The event will take place in Liechtenstein, which last month blocked the final signing of the document. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Interior Minister Rado Bohinc is to hold a press conference at 11:00 AM on citizens of the former Yugoslavia erased from Slovenia's population register in 1992. (STA)

CATANIA, Italy - The 14th regular session of Convention for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea Against Pollution is to begin, running through 14 November. Slovenian Environment Minister Janez Kopac is to participate on Wednesday and Thursday.

SOFIA, Bulgaria - A delegation of the Slovenian Parliament headed by Speaker Borut Pahor is scheduled to pay a one-day official visit to Bulgaria in the framework of Slovenian MPs' meetings with lawmakers from NATO members and candidates.

LJUBLJANA - Europe Minister Janez Potocnik is to present the tasks facing Slovenia ahead of EU entry at a conference organised by the junior coalition United List (ZLSD). The conference will begin at 3:30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Information Society Ministry and non-governmental organisations are to stage a round table (5:00 PM) on access to public information as part of the ongoing LUPA festival of NGOs.

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Samuel Zbogar is to receive Assistant Secretary of State for Political Military Affairs Lincoln Bloomfield and Richard Kidd, the acting director of the State Department's Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement.

TALLINN, Estonia - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andrej Logar will represent Slovenia at regular political consultations with Estonia.

POLJCE - The Centre for Defence Training in Poljce is to host the 4th annual conference of heads of training centres in Partnership for Peace countries.

LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Cypriot parliamentary foreign policy committee is to begin a visit to Slovenia.

CELJE - The Public Health Institute is to present a comprehensive publication on suicides, entitled "Slovenia with or without Suicides", at 10:00 AM.

ROGASKA SLATINA - The Murko Awards for outstanding achievements in ethnology are to be presented at 6 PM. The awards are conferred by the Slovenian Ethnological Association. This year's laureate is Janez Bogataj.
