Janez Bogataj Wins Murko Award for Achievements in Ethnology

Rogaška Slatina, 11 November - Janez Bogataj is the recipient of this year's Murko Award for lifetime achievements in ethnology, which is conferred by the Slovenian Ethnological Association. He received the award for "a lifetime of efforts to establish ethnology as a science" and "extraordinary achievements in the promotion of cultural heritage". Irena Destovnik was conferred the award for achievements in 2002.
