Ljubljana, 11 November - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 12 November:

LJUBLJANA/NOVO MESTO - Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych is to conclude his three-day visit to Slovenia. He is due to meet with President Janez Drnovsek (at 12:40 PM), Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor (at 10:50 AM), heads of deputy groups (at 11:15 AM) and president of the Chamber of Commerce Jozko Cuk (at 9:50 AM). The Ukrainian PM is also scheduled to visit Novo mesto-based drug maker Krka (at 15:15 PM).

LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Anton Rop is to hold a meeting with representatives of four coalition partners to discuss current topics. The meeting is scheduled to strat at 9:00 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign affairs committee is due to meet at 9 AM to examine the bill on the ratification of a Slovenian-Croatian agreement on the simplification of border control in road and rail transport.

LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to hold its 13th session to discuss the bills on hunting and game administration, 2004 supplementary budget and 2005 budget. The session is scheduled to begin at 12:00 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The opposition New Slovenia is to hold a press conference at 11:30 AM on the bill on hunting and game administration.

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to receive at 10:30 AM Russian Deputy Foreign Ministers for relations with the EU and the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Vladimir Chizhov.

LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Cypriot parliamentary foreign policy committee is scheduled to meet with Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor at 10:15 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Croatian Minister of Science and Technology Gvozden Flego is to pay a visit to Slovenia. He is to meet with Minister of Education and Science Slavko Gaber.

CATANIA, Italy - Environment Minister Janez Kopac is to participate on Wednesday and Thursday at the 14th regular session of Convention for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea Against Pollution.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce (GZS) is to organise a Slovenian-Ukrainian business conference at 10:00 AM at the occasion of the visit of Ukrainian PM Minister Viktor Yanukovych.

UDINE, Italy - Economics Minister Tea Petrin is to present possibilities for foreign investments in Slovenia at a conference on business opportunities for the companies of Friuli-Venezia Giulia upon Slovenia's EU entry.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Chief of Staff of Slovenian Armed Forces, Major General Ladislav Lipic, is to attend the annual meeting of chief-of-staffs of NATO member states and acceding countries.

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is scheduled to participate at the four-day congress of the European Liberal Democrats in the European Parliament (ELDR), which begins in Amsterdam.

LJUBLJANA - The International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance (ITF) is to hold a press conference at 10:30 AM to present the institution's half-yearly report and plans for the future.

LJUBLJANA - Writer Drago Jancar is to chair a debate on cultural polycentrism in the wake of Slovenia's EU entry, which is to be attended by Culture Minister Andreja Rihter, poet Andrej Brvar and others. The debate is due to begin at 10:00 AM.
