Portrait of New SLS Head Janez Podobnik

Rogaška Slatina, 15 November - Janez Podobnik, the newly elected president of the People's Party (SLS), is head of the SLS deputy group and one of Slovenia's seven observers in the European Parliament. Born in 1959, he was first elected MP in 1992 and has been in parliament ever since. In the 1996-2000 period, he also acted as Parliament Speaker.
