MPs Pass Gov't Proposal for Constitutional Changes on Provinces

Ljubljana, 17 November - Lawmakers have approved the government proposal for amendments to articles 121, 140 and 143 of the Slovenian Constitution, which are seen as crucial for the formation of provinces in Slovenia. A separate proposal to cross out Article 143 completely failed to get tne necessary two-thirds majority.
