Ljubljana, 18 November - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 19 November:

LJUBLJANA - A forum on Slovenia's future, held under the auspices of President Janez Drnovsek, is to begin at 10 AM, this time focussing on values. A number of distinguished scholars, university teachers, politicians, diplomats and other public figures are invited to present their views. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Slovenia will play Croatia at 5:30 PM in the return leg of the all-decisive additional qualifications for the Euro 2004. (STA)

PORTOROZ - As an introduction to the 5th Slovenian Business Conference, ethics and corporate governance are to be discussed before the two-day conference begins on Thursday. Two panels, one at 1 PM, the other at 6.30 PM.

VIENNA, Austria - Invited by his Austrian counterpart, FM Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a charity event for Iraqi children. The aim is to raise funds for a children's rehabilitation centre in Iraq, a joint project of Austria, Slovenia and Jordan in the framework of the Human Security Network. Begins at 7 PM.

PUCONCI - An Ispa financial memorandum is to be signed at 11 AM to build a waste management centre in the NE region of Prekmurje.

SKOPJE, Macedonia - A delegation of the Slovenian parliamentary commission for Slovenians abroad is to begin a three-day visit to Macedonia. Chair of the commission Franc Puksic and Maria Pozsonec are to meet with the Slovenian community in Macedonia and Macedonian officials.

LJUBLJANA - A conference entitled "Domestic Violence - Ways Out" is to begin at 9 AM, gathering experts from a number of fields dealing with this issue. The event is organised by Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek, and is to be addressed by Speaker Borut Pahor. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary group Globe-Slovenija is organising a conference, at 5 PM, on agriculture policy and safe food to discuss the draft national strategy of food policy.

KLAGENFURT, Austria - An international conference is to begin at the University of Klagenfurt to encourage the cooperation between universities in the Alps-Adria region, including the universities from Klagenfurt, Trieste, Udine, Ljubljana, Koper and Maribor.

LJUBLJANA - The names of benefactor, donor, exceptional personality and good person of the year will be made public upon the conclusion of "Open-Handed People", a campaign organised by the women's magazine Nasa zena. The event is held for the 10th year in a row, and is sponsored by Stefka Kucan, the wife of the former Slovenian president. Begins at 4 PM.

MOSCOW, Russia - At 7.10 PM, Russia's CSKA Moscow is to play Slovenia's Krka in the 3rd round of the basketball's Euroleague (group B). (STA)
