Constitution Debate Wraps Up
Ljubljana, 18 November - The last three items on the agenda of the parliament's extraordinary session on constitutional changes will find it hard to win votes by more than two-thirds of the MPs. The proposals to mention the national liberation and anti-fascist fight as the basis of Slovenia's statehood in the preamble, to prevent presidents from serving more than two terms, and to lower the universal suffrage age have failed to convince the necessary majority of lawmakers in Tuesday's debate.
