WARSAW, Poland - A two-day summit of the Central European Initiative (CEI), which is also attended by Slovenian Prime Minister Anton Rop, is to wrap up. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Styrian provincial assembly headed by its speaker Reinhold Purr is to pay a return official visit to Slovenia. A press statement will be given at 12.30 PM, after a meeting with Regional Development Minister Zdenka Kovac and parliament's agriculture committee. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary European affairs commission is to convene at 9 AM to discuss the bill on the co-operation between the parliament and the government on EU issues. (STA)
KRANJSKA GORA - The 1st Annual Conference on EU Law is to open at 1.45 PM, featuring guests such as Ninon Colneric, a judge of the Court of Justice of the European Communities, and prominent Slovenian businessmen, such as Mercator and Lek CEOs, Zoran Jankovic and Metod Dragonja. Addressing the participants will be Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel. (STA)
MARIBOR - Economics Minister Tea Petrin, who also chairs the supervisory council of the Slovenian Enterprise Fund, and the Fund's head Boris Pfeifer are to present the Fund's business results and plans for 2004 and 2005 at 10.30 AM. (STA)
PORTOROZ - The 5th Slovenian Business Conference is to wrap up.
LJUBLJANA - The Interior Ministry is to give a press conference at noon on the government-proposed changes to the Constitution that would open the way to the introduction of provinces in Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The findings of the November issue of the Politbarometer survey are to be presented to the press at 1 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A public auction for a 77.8-percent stake of Iskra Kondenzatorji, a troubled Slovenian manufacturer of components for radio-interference suppression and power capacitors, is to be staged. Owned by German group AEG KuW, the stake has been put up for auction by the AEG KuW's creditor, Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank from Klagenfurt, after AEG KuW failed to settle its liabilities.
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to receive Ambassador of Kuwait Nabeela Al Mulla for a fare-well visit.
LJUBLJANA - The 14th Ljubljana International Film Festival is to close with an award winning ceremony at 7 PM. Best film from "Perspectives", a section featuring 17 films, will be honoured with the Kingfisher Award, while the audiences will give their favourite from the Horizons section a Golden Reel. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The 2003 Bloudek Awards, Slovenia's highest national sports awards, are to be presented at a press conference at noon. The awards are named after Slavko Bloudek (1890-1959), who is referred to as the "father of Slovenian winter sports".
