Petek Commission Hears Conflicting Stories

Ljubljana, 20 November - Former state secretary at the Transport Ministry Peter Pengal said at a meeting in 2001 that the then Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek ordered that 2,000 transport permits be granted to the Eurocity company. This was again stated by lorry driver Franc Beg from Sostanj before Thursday's parliamentary commission investigating the case of beaten-up journalist Franci Petek.
