Ljubljana, 24 November - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 25 November:

VENICE, Italy - A Slovenian delegation headed by Agriculture Minister Franci But is to attend a two-day ministerial conference on the sustainable development of fisheries in the Mediterranean. The ministers are to pass a special declaration proposing the establishment of protective fishing zones on the basis of dialogue and coordination. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to continue its regular November session at 10 AM with a revote on the technicalities bill on the erased, which has been vetoed by the National Council. Also on the agenda are amendments to the 2003 and 2004 budget implementation act. The budget implementation act will first be reviewed by the parliamentary budget committee, at 8:30 AM. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Dusan Mramor is to join his counterpart from EU member states and acceding countries at a regular monthly meeting. Topping the agenda will be the financial provisions for infrastructure projects that have been placed on the EU's "quick start list" of transport priorities. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of Education, Science and Sports is to confer at 8 PM the Zois Awards, the highest national awards for achievements in science. A press conference preceding the award ceremony is scheduled for 11 AM. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Education Minister Slavko Gaber is to attend a meeting of his counterparts from the EU member states and the acceding countries.

LJUBLJANA - State Undersecretary at the Italian Foreign Ministry Roberto Antonione is to visit Slovenia. He is to be received by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel at 10:15 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The strategic council for the information society, an advisory body to the prime minister, is to convene for its maiden session at 3:30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Chief of Staff of the Greek Armed Forces, General Georgios Antonakopoulos, is to start an official visit to Slovenia. Accompanied by delegation, Gen. Antonakopoulos is to meet with his Slovenian counterpart, Major General Ladislav Lipic, and Defence Minister Anton Grizold.

LJUBLJANA - Officials of the City of Ljubljana, the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs and the General Police Directorate are to stage a press conference at 11:30 AM to present ways in which the authorities have gone about addressing violence against women.

LJUBLJANA - Business opportunities upon EU enlargement will be the subject of a seminar held by the Small Business Development Centre and the Euro Info Center. The event will kick off with an address by EU ambassador Erwan Fouere at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The retailers' association of the Chamber of Commerce (GZS) is to discuss prospects for the retail sector after EU accession and the activities plan for 2004.

LJUBLJANA - Diners Club Slovenija is to hold a press conference presenting 2003 business results and plans for 2004.

SALZBURG, Austria - Four Slovenian officers are to take part in a military exercise entitled "Cooperative Support 2003", which will be taking place until 3 December under the auspices of NATO's Regional Headquarters for South Atlantic.

LJUBLJANA - The 19th edition of the annual Book Fair is to begin, taking a look at pop culture and featuring an exhibition of the world's smallest books. (STA)

PIRAN - Mayors of the coastal municipalities of Piran, Izola and Koper are to stage a press conference at 11:30 AM to discuss the establishment of a tourist zone in the region.
