Ljubljana, 25 November - Eduard Shevardnadze, a man who has shaped the fate of Georgia since 1972, has said goodbye. At first glance it seems that he was swept out of office by a peaceful revolution carried out by members of the opposition. However, the opposition was not the reason for Shevardnadze's decline; his fate had been sealed when his long-term sponsors, the Americans, stopped supporting him, daily Delo writes Tuesday.
