Dialogue Is Necessary for Any Protection Measure, Says Venice Declaration

Venice, 26 November - Slovenia's delegation headed by Agriculture Minister Franci But has backed the measures - including the establishment of protective fishing zones - set in the joint declaration passed at the end of the conference on the sustainable development of fisheries in the Mediterranean. On a short-term basis, however, some of these measures could reduce Slovenia's possibilities for fishing, Minister But pointed out.
