Gov't Urged by OZP to Insist on Equality of EU Commissioners
Ljubljana, 27 November - The parliamentary foreign policy committee (OZP) has called upon the government to insist on four things at further talks within the ongoing IGC. As a result, the government must seek the equality of European commissioners; the rise of the lowest number of MEPs from four to five; a more detailed definition of the manner of governance of EU ministerial councils; and ensuring that member states are equal in chairing the EU councils, with the foreign affairs council being an exception.
