Mezica Locals Want to Strip Vice-Chair of the Erased of His Citizenship

Mežica, 2 December - An initiative has been given by locals in the town of Mezica to strip the vice-president of the Association of the Erased of Slovenian citizenship. Some 200 signatures have been collected in support of the bid, as the locals do not approve of Marko Perak's fighting on the side of the Yugoslav People's Army during Slovenia's independence war in 1991. Speaking for STA, Perak said the move was "inciting xenophobic thinking".
