Ljubljana, 3 December - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 4 December:

BEIJING, China - Prime Minister Anton Rop will be continuing his four-day official visit to China. Accompanied by a strong business delegation and Economics Minister Tea Petrin, Rop is to attend a business conference in Beijing, and hold meetings with Chinese leader Hu Jintao and Speaker Wu Bangguo. BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign ministers from NATO members states are to meet for a two-day semi-annual meeting, to be joined by their counterparts from the seven invitees, including Slovenia's Dimitrij Rupel. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Speaker of Montenegrin Parliament Ranko Krivokapic, who is on a two-day official visit, is to meet with Speaker Borut Pahor, President Janez Drnovsek, as well as lawmakers. A statement to the press at 10.45 AM. (STA)

CAVTAT, Croatia - Slovenia's Europe Minister Janez Potocnik is to outline Slovenia's experience gained in the EU accession process, at a regional economic forum for SE Europe. The forum's topic is the accession of SE European countries to the EU.

LJUBLJANA - At its weekly session, the government is to discuss a bill on the employment of the disabled, changes to the social security act, and the 2004 national employment action plan. A press conference at 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Views on Slovenia and the single market are to be presented and exchanged at 2.30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The national carrier Adria Airways is to meet with journalists to speak about some current topics in air transport at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Two members of the French parliamentary foreign policy commission, Gilbert Gantier of the ruling UDF and Francois Loncle of the opposition Socialist Party, are to pay a visit, meeting with Speaker Borut Pahor.

LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Italian Senate committee of finance and treasury is to meet with Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor and President of the National Council Janez Susnik as well as members of several parliamentary bodies to get acquainted with the financial, monetary and banking aspects of Slovenia's EU entry.

MARIBOR - At 11 AM, Maribor Mayor Boris Sovic is to speak about the construction of a second rail line between Maribor and Austria's Graz.

LJUBLJANA - A traditional Christmas meeting with GZS chair Jozko Cuk organised by the Association of Managers is to begin at 4.30 PM. The award for lifetime achievement is to be conferred by the association on the same ocassion.

LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to received Belgrade Archbishop Stanislav Hocevar at 3.45 PM.

CAKOVEC, Croatia - The Slovenian women's handball team is to play Hungary at the World Championships (group D). (STA)

ROME, Italy/MALAGA, Spain - In the fifth round of the Euroleague, Slovenia's Union Olimpija will play Italy's Lottomatica Roma at 8.40 PM (group A), with Krka Novo mesto taking on Unicaja Malaga in group B at 9.10 PM (STA)
