Guantanamo a Severe Case of Human Rights Violation, Says Historian

Ljubljana, 8 December - "The case of prisoners held by the U.S. in Guantanamo, Cuba, is one of the most severe cases of human rights violation today. This has been brought upon by a country that was until recently looked upon as a lighthouse of freedom, despite its imperialism in Latin America, its hunt for communists, and despite Vietnam," Slovenian historian Joze Pirjevec said on Monday at a special event in Ljubljana that marked World Human Rights Day.
