Parliament Redistributes Funds, Confirmation of Budgets Due Tomorrow

Ljubljana, 11 December - The general and the specific parts of changes to the 2004 and 2005 budgets were adopted by the parliament on Thursday. Only 11 of 49 proposed amendments in the 2004 budget were adopted, redistributing SIT 990.6m (EUR 4.1m) within budget expenditure. In the 2005 budget, only 2 of the proposed 30 amendments were passed. SIT 1.7bn (EUR 7.1m) was redistributed within the expenditure. Since this caused imbalance between the general and specific parts of the budgets, the parliamentary finance committee has to draft balancing amendments. The MPs are expected to vote on the two budgets tomorrow.
