Longer Negotiations Better Than Bad Agreement, Says PM Rop

Brussels, 13 December - Prolonging the intergovernmental negotiations is better than a bad agreement, said Slovenian PM Anton Rop on Saturday in Brussels, after the summit of leaders from the EU and acceding countries failed to reach a compromise on the draft constitutional treaty. "Unfortunately, the IGC has failed to reach a consensus on the decision-making method, because the differences in views were too large," said Rop.
