Ljubljana, 14 December - Slovenian lawmakers adopted national budgets for the next two years at an extraordinary session of parliament dedicated to the financial plans. Addressing the lawmakers, Finance Minister Dusan Mramor explained that the amended 2004 budget bill and the 2005 budget bill have been created on the basis of criteria so strict that they leave no room for manoeuvring without an increase in the budget deficit. Meanwhile, the Slovenian government looked to have scored a victory as the construction of the second rail line between Koper and Divaca was said to be confirmed on the "quick start" list of urgent transport projects in the EU.
