Russia and Slovenia Agree on the Payment of Clearing Debt

Moscow, 18 December - By signing a memorandum, Slovenia and Russia have ended bilateral talks on the payment of the clearing debt of the former Soviet Union to Slovenia. Talks were headed by Slovenian Finance Minister Dusan Mramor and Deputy Russian Finance Minister Sergei Kolotuhin. An agreement on the manner of debt repayment, which amounts to around US$ 130 million, is to be signed by the end of March 2004.
