Ljubljana, 20 December - After the EU summit in Brussels ended in failure, heightening fears that a two-tier Europe might emerge, public attention again shifted to more familiar ground. Lawmakers were busy passing laws, including changes to the maritime code that enable Slovenia to declare maritime zones, and a new anti-corruption bill. Meanwhile, Slovenia and Russia found common ground on the debt of the former Soviet Union and signed a memorandum on repayment in goods.
