LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to hold a ceremonial session at 7 PM to mark Independence Day, 26 December. The main ceremony on the occasion is to be held at the Cankarjev dom arts centre at 8 PM with Prime Minister Anton Rop as the keynote speaker. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Constitution Day will mark 12 years since the Slovenian assembly adopted the first Constitution of the independent Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to hold a session at 2.30 PM to discuss a veto on the game and hunting administration act, passed by parliament on Friday. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to receive Chinese Ambassador to Slovenia Xu Jian for a farewell visit.

LJUBLJANA - A group of voters who signed the initiative to call a city referendum on the construction of an Islamic cultural centre in Ljubljana are to hold a press conference at 10.45 AM.

CELJE - The 2004 Days of Comedy are to be presented to the press.
