Slovenia Has Access to High Seas, Foreign Ministry Reiterates

Ljubljana, 22 December - Slovenia has territorial access to open seas and the right to declare exclusive economic zones or protective fisheries zones, the Foreign Ministry said in Monday's reply to a protest note issued by the Croatian Foreign Ministry. Croatia protested against the amendments to the maritime code which give Slovenia the legal basis to declare maritime zones, labelling them as unacceptable.
