Gov't Confirms Amendments to European Elections Act

Ljubljana, 24 December - The government has confirmed draft amendments to the act on elections to the European Parliament. The changes will enable Slovenian lawmakers to act as MEPs in the intermediate period between 1 May 2004, when Slovenia enters the EU, and June next year, when elections to the European Parliament are to be staged in Slovenia.
