Ljubljana, 27 December - Purging his party of half a dozen disobedient members, the new Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader has managed to create a sense in the public that he wants to reach deep into the core of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and form a modern European conservative party. But if he fails to control the party from within and make it democratic, the Croatian society will not be able to democratise either, the daily Delo writes on Saturday.
