Ljubljana, 28 December - Prime Minister Anton Rop and Finance Minister Dusan Mramor were optimistic about the ability of the government to further bring down inflation next year as part of efforts for speedy euro zone entry. Speaking in an interview for STA, Rop stressed that administered prices and government spending will be key in inflation-busting efforts. Meanwhile, in its survey of business confidence, the Chamber of Commerce (GZS) found that the mood among Slovenian managers was more upbeat than last year.
