Rupel received the ambassador of Poland

Ljubljana, 1 August - The Foreign Minister, Dr. Dimitrij Rupel, received today the ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Jewrzya Chmielewski, and had talks with him about possibilities for expanding cooperation between both republics in the economic, political and cultural regions. With the linking of both economies, both republics could, in this way, fill the vacuum of the loss of their traditional markets or partners. Discussions between economic experts will begin soon. They stressed their interest for exchanging visits on a high political level, with which the traditional friendly cooperation and linkage, which were created during the process of democratization in Poland and Slovenia, would be deepened.
