Presidency of Slovenia: Violence in Croatia is growing dramatically

Ljubljana, 2 August - The Presidency of the Republic of Slovenia accepted a statement in association with the events in the Republic of Croatia at its session. The statement contains, among other things, also that "The violence in the Republic of Croatia is growing dramatically from day to day and is the consequence of sick ideas that the modern world can still save problems in such a manner, throwing all this region to the brink of catastrophe. With the rapid increase of the masses of emigrants, wounded, persecuted and dead, deep distress is also increasing, not to mention what is happening to the spirit of the modern world. That is why we condemn this violence, without respect if these are true or imagined reasons". The end of the statement also states that peace in Croatia is an imperative and the main responsibility of politicians throughout the Yugoslav republics and thus demand the immediate rejection of arms.
