Carinthian district governor Zernatto on visit in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 2 August - The Carinthian district governor general, Mr. Zernatto, is on a visit in Slovenia. He was received by the president of the Slovenian government, Mr. Peterle. They mainly discussed the economic aid Austrian Carinthia could give to Slovenia. They both visited the town of Krško and its surroundings, where they spoke about signing an inter-state contract which would concern the exchange of information in association with the Krško Nuclear Power Plant. Both sides also restricted themselves from constructing new nuclear power plants. Mr. Lojze Peterle also stated that he sees a lot of possibilities for expanding economic cooperation, the Austrian side then said that they would assist in the development of private economy and use their connections in Vienna to promote economic cooperation between Slovenia and Austria.
