Appeal of community of Italians in Istria and Reka

Ljubljana, 4 August - The community of Italians in Istria and Reka appealed to the international community to stop armed conflicts in Croatia with all disposable legal and democratic measures. In the message, the Community of Italians in Istria and Reka stood for a peaceful solution of all disputes and expresses its solidarity with the civilian inhabitants in Croatia. They are especially troubled about the fate of their compatriots in the village of Ploština near Pakrac, and are thus demanding from the local authorities, as well as the government in Italy, that care is taken for their safety.
