Slovenia at the Helm of the CEI in 2004

Ljubljana, 31 December - Slovenia will assume the presidency of the Central European Initiative (CEI) on 1 January 2004. With EU enlargement seven CEI members will also be EU members in 2004, which is why the focus of activities of the 17-member initiative will shift to the states that will stay outside the EU, as well as to the cooperation with other initiatives in the region.
