SLS Can Fill the Void in the Centre, Says Podobnik

Ljubljana, 1 January - The recently elected president of the coalition People's Party (SLS) Janez Podobnik is optimistic about the year 2004, which will see general elections and elections to the European Parliament. He sees SLS having a place in the political centre. The rise in the party's popularity following the election congress shows that a large part of the "apathetic unaffiliated political centre" is open for a broad People's Party, he said in an interview for STA.
