Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 27 December 2003 to 2 January 2004

Ljubljana, 3 January - The New Year holidays and celebrations provided for a more relaxed atmosphere on the political scene during the week. Nevertheless, the MPs dealt with major issues till the last working day as they called a referendum on the erased issue on one hand and asked the Constitutional Court to assess that same decree on the other hand. Unless the MPs opposing the referendum succeed at the Constitutional Court, Slovenians will head to the polls on 15 February.
