Public Still Ignorant about Activities of NGOs

Ljubljana, 4 January - The Slovenian public knows what society is, but they are not familiar with the concept of non-governmental organisations (NGO). This is largely a result of the fact that the term NGO does not exist as a legal term, and the lack of an appropriate network of NGOs, according to an international survey dubbed "NGO Sustainability Index 2003".
