Nuclear weapons have been removed from Črni Vrh

Ljubljana, 8 August - In association with the statement made yesterday by Janez Janša, the Minister of Defence, that there exists proof that the Yugoslav army also stored tactical nuclear weapons of an eastern make in the depots in Črni Vrh nad Idrijo, weapons which are forbidden by international conventions, the opinion that the above mentioned weapons have been removed overrules and that the depots were destroyed so that evidence could be concealed. Such weapons were evidently also stored in Postojna, Pivka and Cerklje, but according to dependent sources of information, they have also been removed from Slovenia. The secret explosions at the airport in Cerklje can also be clarified with this. According to the opinion of some officers who have stepped over to the Territorial Defence of Slovenia, the depots were destroyed because they also contained tactical nuclear weapons.
