Minority MP Resigns as Chair of Commission for National Communities

Ljubljana, 6 January - Roberto Batelli, who represents the Italian minority in Slovenian parliament, has resigned as chairman of the parliamentary commission for national communities due to what he labelled increasing assimilation of minorities and pressure that Italian and Hungarian minority members are exposed to.
