Biathlon: Poiree Wins Men's Sprint Ahead of Bjoerndahlen
Pokljuka, 8 January - Raphael Poiree of France is the winner of the men's 10-kilometre World Cup sprint held at Slovenia's Pokljuka on Thursday. He finished in a time 24:13.6, 8.9 seconds ahead of Ole Einar Bjoerndahlen of Norway. Vladimir Drachev won a podium spot for Belorussia, 20.7 seconds behind Poiree. All three had to run one penalty loop.
