Slovenia Among European Countries with Lowest Public Debt

Ljubljana, 8 January - The government was on Thursday briefed on the 2002 report on public debt management. The debt of the entire public sector amounted to SIT 2,049bn (EUR 8.65bn) at the end of 2002, which was 38.8 percent of GDP, while the general government debt totalled SIT 1,464bn (EUR 6.18) or 27.8 percent of GDP.
