Central Bank Cuts Interest Rates

Ljubljana, 9 January - The Bank of Slovenia council on Thursday lowered interest rates on central bank instruments by 0.25 percentage points until 9 January 2004. The lombard loan interest rates went down from 7.25% to 7%, the interest rates on overnight deposits were lowered from 3% to 2.75%, and from 6% to 5.75% for 60-day tolar treasury bills.
