Very difficult economic conditions in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 10 August - On top of the very difficult economic conditions in Slovenia, to which the unreasonable actions of plundering Slovenian property and continuing the blockade on the part of the Yugoslav National bank also contribute, there appear increasingly many warnings that the new legislation on privatizing companies, denationalization and cooperatives may cause large social end economic upheavals. Although all debates so far have shown that privatization is necessary and that wrongs done through unjust requisition of property should be righted, debates of these issues during the previous week have voiced warnings that economical criteria must prevail in this process and that new injustices must not be committed.
