Peace movements in various parts of Yugoslavia

Ljubljana, 11 August - The municipal union council of Sarajevo, together with other peace organizations, asked workers in Sarajevo and other Yugoslav cities to turn on all sirens at 12.00 tomorrow and go on a half-hour warning strike in supporting the demand for unconditional peace. They also call to the workers to join and spread the "peace uprising", begun by peace movements in various parts of Yugoslavia. The statement demands unconditional peace rather than merely unconditional armistice, and calls for renewing economic, cultural and political ties so that a democratic way out of the crisis and towards egalitarian integration with European countries can be found.
