Sparks Fly as "Erased" Are Discussed at Public Forum
Ljubljana, 12 January - Sparks flew in the parliament on Monday as opponents confronted their various views on legislation that the government has drafted to recover the status of people erased from the population register in 1992. Responding to one of the concerns of the opposition parties about the systemic bill on the "erased", Interior Minister Rado Bohinc said that a possibility exists that provisions dealing with maximum compensation payments for those who have suffered as a result of the 1992 measure could be introduced into the document.
