Ljubljana, 12 January - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 13 January:

LJUBLJANA - Hungarian Minister for National Cultural Heritage Istvan Hiller is to meet with Culture Minister Andreja Rihter on the second day of his visit. He is also to confer the Hungarian award "Pro Cultura Hungarica" on Joze Hradil, the translator from Hungarian of the novel "Burnt-down Candles". (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The council of the ruling Liberal Democrats (LDS) is to meet behind closed doors at 4 PM for talks about candidates for elections to the European Parliament. A statement for the press is scheduled after the session.

LJUBLJANA - The Pension Fund Management (KAD) is to hold a press conference on the company's performance in 2003 and plans for 2004. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary committee on the economy is to convene at 2 PM to discuss the proposed changes to the act on trade, which would put into law the referendum decision of 21 September 2003 to keep most stores closed Sundays.

LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive credentials of the newly appointed ambassadors of Norway and Morocco, May Britt Brofoss and Omar Zniber. FM Dimitrij Rupel is also to receive copies of credentials from the Moroccan ambassador.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Writers' Association is to hold a post-New Year meeting. Prime Minister Anton Rop, Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, Education Minister Slavko Gaber, Culture Minister Andreja Rihter are expected to attend.
