Ljubljana, 13 January - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 14 January:

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign policy committee is to convene at 10 AM to discuss the bill on the ratification of the EU Accession Treaty and the ratification bill on the Vatican Agreement. At 3 PM, the committee and the Commission for European Affairs are to hold a joint session where Irish ambassador to Slovenia Gary Ansbro is to present the priorities of the Irish EU presidency. LJUBLJANA - Irish ambassador to Slovenia Gary Ansbro is to hold a joint press conference with head of the European Commission delegation to Slovenia, Erwan Fouere, to outline the priorities of the Irish presidency of the EU in the first half of the year. At 12:30 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Association for International Relations is to host a conference on public diplomacy at 5 PM. The event is designed as an in-depth debate on foreign policy issues that were highlighted at the forum on the future of Slovenia, which is hosted by President Janez Drnovsek.

BERLIN, Germany - Finance Minister Dusan Mramor is scheduled to meet with his German counterpart Hans Eichl for talks that are to focus on tax and health reforms currently undertaken in both countries.

LJUBLJANA - Director of the Government Office for Structural Policy and Regional development, Zdenka Kovac, is to stage a press conference at 11 AM to present the bill on the promotion of balanced regional development. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive at 10:30 AM representatives of the Italian and Hungarian minorities in parliament, lawmakers Roberto Battelli and Maria Pozsonec.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Democratic Forum is to stage a round-table debate at 6 PM on Slovenia's possible strategic policies in the enlarged Europe.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary commission on budget and public finance supervision is to meet at 2 PM to review the closing account of the 2002 budget.

LUKOVICA - The Association of Slovenian Cooperatives is to stage a press conference to present the organisation's achievements in 2003 and plans for this year.

LJUBLJANA - A coalition of environmental NGOs is to present a programme dubbed "NGO Initiative for a Better National Energy Programme", at 11 AM. (STA)

CELJE - Slovenia's entry into the EU and new markets on the east are to top the agenda of a meeting of the managers' club Zlatorog. The event, scheduled for 6 PM, is also to be attended by CEO of retailer Mercator Zoran Jankovic.
