Municipalities Discuss Bill on Local Self-Government with Interior Ministry

Lukovica, 14 January - The main novelties envisaged by the new act on local self-government concern the incompatibility of the office of mayor and other functions, especially member of parliament, Interior Minister Rado Bohinc said on Wednesday, presenting the act at a panel organised by the Association of Slovenian Municipalities. The act would upgrade the local self-government system, aiming to preserve the autonomy of local self-governments, he claimed.
