FM Rupel to Meet with Croatian Counterpart Friday

Zagreb, 15 January - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to hold a working meeting with his Croatian counterpart Miomir Zuzul on Friday, in what is the first bilateral ministerial meeting after the appointment of a new Croatian cabinet. No major breakthrough is expected, but both sides have expressed willingness for appeasement, to defuse bilateral tensions that reached boiling point last year when Croatia declared a protective fisheries and ecological zone in the Adriatic.
