Deputy Foreign Minister of Lithuania arrived in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 16 August - Ljubljana, August 16, (STA) - Deputy Foreign Minister of Lithuania Rolands Razulevičius arrived in Ljubljana yesterday and will meet today with the highest representatives of the Slovene government and the Slovene presidency. The guest is also carrying with him a reply to the letter sent by Slovenian Foreign Minister dr.Rupel to the foreign ministers of all the European countries upon Slovenia's proclamation of independence on June 26, proposing the establishment of diplomatic relations. Deputy Foreign Minister Zoran Thaler, who received the guest yesterday, told the STA that Lithuania concurs with the Slovene proposal and that Mr. Razulevičius has also brought with him to Ljubljana the Declaration of the Lithuanian parliament acknowledging the Republic of Slovenia. The Declaration acknowledging Lithuania was passed by the Slovene parliament already last December.
